It’s another edition of our closet design series! In this edition, we’ll be talking about all things color when it comes to designing a new closet system. We’ll break down a few common color schemes with some examples, so keep on reading to see if there’s a design that would work in your home.
Classic White
White is one of the most common colors when remodeling a closet. It tends to provide a clean look and works with many different home decor styles and existing paint and flooring colors. Our white closets are usually the most cost effective, which allows our clients the upgrade they are looking for without breaking the bank. We offer white in all types of materials whether you’re looking for a laminate or a solid wood. This gives you flexibility when deciding how luxurious you want your closet to be. We even offer a glossy white so you can mix and match different textures. For a slightly different take, we also offer an antique white finish.

Traditional Mid-Tone Wood Grains
If you think white is a bit too sterile, the next most common color scheme that we see is a traditional wood grain. Our natural maple and oaks are very popular since they are neutral colors, but provide extra warmth than white. We offer a number of finishes in the beige family whether it is a stain, finish, or textured thermofoil. Our thermofoil and laminate finishes are popular as we are able to provide a durable product that gives the look of solid wood without the cost associated with it. Of course, if you’re looking for the best of the best we have solid wood options as well.

Dark and Moody
Using a dark color scheme is not for the faint of heart. Using deep browns or blacks is perfect for those looking for a really bold look. Our chocolate or cherry options are good options for this. This type of look tends to work best with lighter colored walls to give some contrast, although we have seen it work well with certain mid and dark tone woods. This color scheme tends to offer the most dramatic look when paired with a traditional door and décor style, although you can go a more modern route with a simple cabinet style.
