Closets come in many different shapes, sizes, and homes. And the homeowners we work with all have varying needs and budgets. Today, we’re here to focus on the reach-in closet system. Although these closets have limited space compared to spacious walk-ins, it doesn’t mean that you can’t apply similar design elements. Let’s look at these examples to see how you can make the most of these spaces.
Wardrobes
This may not be a typical reach-in closet since items aren’t concealed by folding or sliding doors. However, we’re classifying this wardrobe as a reach-in project since you need to “reach in” to access the items in the same way. This wall of storage provides additional clothing storage for the homeowners. Get more information about this project: Custom Closet Wardrobe Storage.
Maximize Small Closet Space

Maximizing small closet spaces is no small feat. In this project, a smart layout provides enough hanging storage and cubbies for shoes so everything fits with ease. Multiple hanging areas are split by a section of shelves and cubbies. A unit of drawers was also created to store delicate accessories. This goes to prove that with some smart brainstorming and planning you can do just as much with a small closet as a walk-in!
Guest Closets
Closets in guest rooms can help give guests plenty of room and provide extra storage for bed sheets, pillows, and towels.
In this guest room and playroom, we built shelves that used up the entire closet that provides plenty of storage for bedding and toys. A laundry hamper and suitcase rack sits below the hanging areas and shelves. Keep in mind that we can install hidden hampers if you’d like. This closet matches the panel bed and cabinetry we installed.

Jack Of All Trades & Overflow
Sometimes your closet just isn’t big enough. Here in this closet, we installed shelves for linens as well as extra closet space for seasonal clothing storage. This room also features a beautiful bookcase Murphy bed and home office system.
We chose to use the same cherry shelves to match the other furniture we designed, manufactured, and installed. The warm, dark hanging rails match the hardware of the other cabinetry units and give a traditional look.
