Slatted Wall System
Slatted walls were installed to keep tools within easy reach. Along the wall, a rake, shovel, and leveler are securely hung. The slatted walls also provide flexibility. You can easily move the mounts to different heights and spots along the wall. Smaller tools are held in place with the magnetic strip and a handy container keeps small screws and other items from mixing together and causing chaos.
Cabinet Storage
We installed long cabinets to keep golf clubs and other sporting equipment. A car storage bin is stored out of the way above the units. A sturdy tabletop covers the lower cabinets on the left, which provides a great workspace for crafts and other hobbies. Power tools are docked on top of the workspace so they are charged and ready for any project. The lockable toolbox was already purchased by our clients and is movable. This gives them additional workspace. The cabinets provide plenty of storage for other tools and overflow storage. We built these cabinets off the ground to make it easy to clean underneath them.
More Than Tools
This garage system is for more than tools! A flat screen TV is positioned in the upper cabinet. Sports, movies, and home remodeling shows can be watched and listened to while hobbies and crafts are being done.
The best part is that this garage system doesn’t take up a lot of space and can easily be reconfigured to meet our client’s needs. The garage space truly becomes a place for work and clears up the garage floor so a car can actually be parked inside!
Additional Laundry Storage
We finished this project by carrying the organization into the laundry room. Upper cabinets with a hanging rod were installed above the washer and dryer. The hanging area is perfect for air drying clothes and extra shelving stores extra toilet paper and cleaning supplies. A small pullout drawer keeps detergents within easy reach. Large pullout baskets were installed opposite of the machines to make laundry time easy.
